HCLSoftware, a global leader in enterprise software solutions and the software division of HCLTech, recently concluded its Executive Summit 2025 in Johannesburg, reinforcing its deep commitment to supporting South Africa’s National Digital Transformation Strategy.
The summit convened senior leaders from key sectors, including Government, BFSI, Telecom, and Mining, to focus on the urgent need for secure, unified technology adoption to realize the country’s ambitious Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) goals.
A major focus of the event was the Xperience-Data-Operations (XDO) Blueprint, HCLSoftware’s unified strategic framework. The XDO Blueprint addresses the three core change drivers in the region: maximizing Economic Efficiency through Intelligent Operations, meeting escalating Customer/Citizen Expectations through Total Experience (TX), and ensuring mandatory Risk & Compliance through Data Sovereignty.
Speaking at the event, Rajiv Shesh, Chief Revenue Officer, HCLSoftware, emphasized the company’s strategic commitment: “Digital transformation in South Africa is a strategic imperative that requires integration, not just isolated projects. We are anchored in supporting the nation's ambitious digital roadmap and committed to contributing to the 'globally competitive, inclusive, and shared economy' envisioned by the 4IR framework through the secure and unified architecture of our XDO Blueprint.”
He further added: “HCLSoftware has become an essential partner for organizations seeking outcomes from their largest digital investments. Through the XDO Blueprint, we help clients understand the digital body language of their customers, strengthen data lineage, and create holistic, intelligent experiences that drive measurable business impact.”
The summit’s panel discussion explored how South African enterprises are redefining value creation through technology partnerships and local innovation. Panelists emphasized that ‘success today means providing measurable value’ and highlighted how ‘Managed Service Providers (MSPs) are redefining enterprise value through XDO Blueprint’, calling them ‘the new blueprint for South Africa’s digital footprint’.
Suren Govender, Chief Operating Officer at iGuardSA commented on the framework's impact: “Our clients’ expectations have evolved - they no longer want vendors; they want trusted partners who understand their digital risks. For MSPs like iGuardSA, the HCLSoftware’s XDO Blueprint reinforces our role as the strategic architect of transformation. By uniting experience, data, and operations with cybersecurity at the core, we are not just running technology, we are enabling trust, resilience, and growth in a connected world.”
On the role of partnerships, Chancard Kanga, Territory Director - Africa, HCLSoftware, highlighted the value of the partner ecosystem, sharing HCLSoftware’s growth is intrinsically linked to South Africa’s success. The enterprise software company is focused on empowering Managed Service Providers and partners in the region, providing them with secure, scalable, and trusted solutions to accelerate clients' digital growth across the continent.
Adding a unique perspective from beyond the tech world, the summit also featured strong local engagement across critical themes, including an insightful fireside chat on ‘What Drives Change in South Africa’ with sporting legend Gary Kirsten, former South Africa Cricketer and Coach.
The event concluded with the HCLSoftware Customer Success Awards, recognizing Nedbank, Standard Bank, State Information Technology Agency (SITA), and Telkom for their excellence in resilience, and innovation in digital transformation, reinforcing HCLSoftware’s commitment to delivering practical, future-ready solutions that support the nation’s 4IR and digital transformation mandates.
